Matteo is a Greek-Italian-American documentary and commercial cinematographer with a passion for capturing compelling place-based stories that delve into the intersection of people, culture and the environment. Matteo has told stories of mountain communities in Japan, salmon fishers in remote areas of Alaska and founders of Hip Hop in the heart of the Bronx. He was a 2023 newportFILM: Documentary Cinematographer Lab Fellow and his films have been selected to Oscar-qualifying festivals, recognized by Sundance and Adobe and created in collaboration with brands such as The North Face, Orvis and Nike.
